About me

I’m a Senior Product Designer with over 7 experience years designing complex digital products across mobile and web. I’ve been a graphic designer for over 20 years. I studied Graphic Design in Cape Town at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, graduating in 2003. In 2008 I moved to the UK to work for Oxford University Press in Oxford.

I’m experienced in translating technically complex systems — including AI-driven software and data-heavy platforms — into intuitive product experiences. I’m a strong collaborator with engineering and product teams, with particular focus on design systems, interaction design, and simplifying complex workflows.

Education

National Diploma in Graphic Design from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town. Graduated in 2003.

Product design skills

Mobile and web application design. Creating and maintaining design systems. Prototyping and usability testing. Cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering and data science teams. Management experience.

Software skills

Fluent in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects and Figma. Proficient in CSS and HTML.
